Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd will invest around Rs 600 crore this fiscal in its existing and upcoming centres as part of its expansion plan to meet rising demand for managed workspace.
Gurugram-based listed realty firm Smartworks, which has a portfolio of 16.9 million square feet of office space across 70 centres in 15 cities across India and Singapore, posted a total revenue of Rs 1,850 crore in 2025-26.
In a conference call with market analysts, Smartworks Founder and MD Neetish Sarda said, "Our capex estimate is between Rs 550 crore and Rs 600 crore for the year. This capex includes two sets: it includes refurbishment capex that we typically do in our centres after every three years and the fresh capex that will go in."
Smartworks has signed up more than 3.5 million square feet of space already which is either under construction or coming up for construction, he said, he told analysts.

Indian Bank plans to add about 100 branches this year, with a primary focus on increasing the bank's presence in the Central and Western parts of the country.
To manage growing business and replace retiring employees, the bank would increase its headcount by about 2,500 personnel, including specialist officers.
"Last year we opened 100 branches. This year too we have similar plans. Just on August 15, which was our foundation day, the bank inaugurated 15 branches across the country," Indian Bank MD and CEO Binod Kumar told PTI in an interaction.
The bank had 6,003 domestic branches and three overseas -- Singapore, Colombo and Jaffna and IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) at Gandhinagar as of June 30, 2026.
The seventh-biggest public sector bank enhanced its presence in the eastern region and Uttar Pradesh with the amalgamation of Allahabad Bank in 2020.
"Now we are trying to increase our presence in the Central and Western parts of the country," he said.

A Parliamentary panel has suggested establishing dedicated benches or verticals for insolvency cases at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to expedite disposal of such matters as well as ensure that the tribunal gives equal attention for cases under the companies law.
Apart from the principal bench and the New Delhi bench, NCLT has benches in Allahabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Kochi, and Mumbai.
The recommendations are part of a report prepared by the Department-Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice.
The report on 'Review of Functioning of Tribunal System in the Country' was tabled in Parliament earlier this month.
The panel said steadily expanding insolvency jurisdiction of the tribunal should not dilute its equally important responsibilities under the Companies Act, 2013, including matters relating to mergers and amalgamations, corporate governance, and protection of

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Sunday conferred with Uzbekistan's highest honour for foreign leaders 'Oliy Darajali Do'stlik' Order, which he dedicated to the "enduring" bond between India and Uzbekistan.
Modi is in Uzbekistan on a two-day visit to bolster ties in a range of areas including trade, clean energy and connectivity.
The prime minister was conferred with the honour by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"Honoured to receive the 'Oliy Darajali Do'stlik' Order. I dedicate this to the enduring bond between India and Uzbekistan," Modi said in a social media post.
The Ministry of External Affairs said on X that the prime minister was conferred the honour for his "contribution in strengthening the friendship between the two countries".

Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Wednesday said the Centre deferred the conduct of the Census in the state as per the wishes of the people.
Singh made the remarks on the inaugural day of the eighth session of the current Manipur Assembly.
The CM, addressing the House, said, "In August 2022, the then chief minister N Biren Singh moved a resolution that NRC (National Register of Citizens) should be carried out in Manipur and a letter was subsequently sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) regarding this in 2023."
"The same was reaffirmed in the 2024 session of the assembly, and the resolution was sent to the MHA. Following the President's Rule and installation of the new government, a two-day seminar was conducted by the state Home Department this August in which it was resolved that NRC would be conducted before the Census," he said.
